The Dark Legacy Of Charlie Kirk

My Dear America:

First Of All, I want to add my voice to all of the Left Leaning Democrats who Donald Trump has called out as Lunatics and who he says are responsible for (according to Trump) pretty much all of the problems with Guns and Assassinations in this country including the Assassination of Charlie Kirk.

There are more than a few problems with Trump's laying Assassinations in general and Charlie Kirk's Assassination, in particular on Left Leaning Democrats.

One problem is the fact that almost all of the responses to Kirk's death by Democrats have included strong Condemnations of the killing of Kirk by a young man who was apparently the son of a rather noted Right Wing Republican Utah Father.  Certainly no Democrats have any problems with the Assassin's Father.  After all, it appears as though Tyler Robinson's Father was instrumental in encouraging his son to surrender to the Utah Authorities.

I don't know how stupid Donald Trump believes his supporters to be but they would have to be idiots to believe the President who has designated Left Wing Groups as the people who are largely responsible for Gun Violence in the United States of America.  The overwhelming evidence is that that Right Wing nuts have committed far more murders in America than Left Wing Nuts.  Democrats have consistently been the party who want to remove weapons of mass destruction like AR 15's from the Walmart's and Sporting Goods Stores of America, while Republicans can be heard Weeping and Wailing whenever the subject of Gun Control is discussed.

Charlie Kirk was a young handsome intelligent Influencer who seems to have espoused many of the same controversial Ultra Right Notions as those of Donald Trump and Adolph Hitler.

Kirk became a Celebrity and a Millionaire because of those marginalized Americans who he disparaged.  Kirk, in fact, did not seem to endorse hardly anything.  He, like his hero, Donald Trump, seemed to be Anti A lot of things.

Charlie Kirk was born and raised in the wealthy suburbs of Chicago and I suspect that he didn't want for much when he was growing up.  For some reason he dropped out of Harper College after One Semester.  He was also disappointed after applying to West Point and being rejected.  After suffering these setbacks Charlie Kirk began to realize what direction America was turning as Donald Trump began to emerge from the Republican Pack in the 2016 Election and in the end won that Election.

In 2012 Charlie Kirk established "Turning Point USA" with money donated from some wealthy Republican donors.  Turning Point was established as a 501 C Non profit and as Trump began to break out of the pack in 2016 Charlie Kirk began to be enamored of Donald Trump.

While Charlie could present himself as a Clean Cut All American Boy, as his influence grew with his attachment to Trump and MAGA Charlie realized that he had some talent that could be put to good use by supporting Donald Trump and appealing to his MAGA followers.  Charlie Kirk did not subscribe to the "Catching more Flies with Honey" prospect but understood that the real money and power could be found with the "more flies with vinegar" concept..

Turning Point and Charlie Kirk began to show some serious opposition to such important American concepts as Abortion, Gun Control, DEI (Diversity, Equity And Inclusion) Programs and LGBT Rights. 

Some of Charlie's other interesting and controversial opinions included the following: 

Criticizing The Civil Rights Act of 1964 as well as Criticizing Martin Luther King Jr.

Promoting Covid 19 Misinformation.

Promoting False Claims of Voter Fraud in 2020.

Opposition to Immigration and Immigrants.  

Repudiation of Liberal College Education.

Embracing of Q'anon, MAGA and Pro Trump Conspiracies.

Promoting of debunked Claims about George Floyd including accusing Floyd of illegally Counterfeiting Currency and putting a gun to the head of a pregnant woman.

Donald Trump has denied having anything to do with the firing of Jimmy Kimmel and Steven Colbert from their Late Night Talk Shows.  Trump, however, has made it clear that the thin skinned President has not found the humor of the Late Night Comedians very funny and has made it clear to his followers on Social Media that he wanted all of the Late Night Trump Critics GONE.

Well, Right now 2 down and Several more to go.  Trump has already made it clear that he wants Jimmy Fallon and Seth Myers gone also.  Hopefully that won't happen but one never knows what is going to happen in Trump World.

Right now Donald Trump is doing his best to try to turn Charlie Kirk into a Folk Hero for the Ultra Right.  Hopefully most Americans will be able to see through this Right Wing Charade and recognize that it certainly is a Shame that Charlie's wife, Erika and her two children are without a husband and father.  But that does not change the fact that Charlie Kirk does not deserve to be idolized by anyone in the United States of America.

How To Destroy An Incredible Family Legacy - OR - There Is Something Terribly Wrong With Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

My Dear America:

To A Democrat and also to most Republicans My Age (Heading Toward 83) The Name Kennedy has always meant certain things to most Americans.  John Kennedy, along with his Brothers, Bobby and Ted gave their working lives to Public Service.  John and Bobby actually gave their lives to their country.  They were both gunned down while in the process of campaigning for the Presidency of the United States. Their deaths were some of the first examples of why we needed serious gun control in the United States, which we don't appear to be any closer to having today than we were when these two great American Patriots were killed.

For those not old enough to remember, John Kennedy was elected President of the United States in 1960 after serving in the United States Senate.  His famous catchphrase was "Ask Not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country."  While he was alive he had some very good ideas, most of which were not implemented in his lifetime but many were implemented following his Assassination in Dallas Texas on November 22nd of 1963.

Some of JFK' s ideas and accomplishments included the following:

Establishing The Peace Corps, which sent Americans into other countries to assist with many everyday activities,    

Establishing NASA and prioritizing Space Exploration with the goal of landing a man on the moon by the end of the 1960's

The reduction of Poverty in the United States and Prioritizing  Civil Rights.

Keeping Russian Missiles out of Cuba during the Cuban Missile Crisis.

Robert Francis Kennedy, John Kennedy's younger brother also had quite an extensive work resume when he ran for President in 1968.

RFK had worked as a Staff Member of Important Senate committees while his brother was a Senator

RFK had worked very hard in his brother's campaign for the Presidency in 1960

He was also appointed by his brother to be the Attorney General of the United States during John Kennedy's Administration and continued in that role for a time  in the Lyndon Johnson Administration.

Following in his brother's footsteps RFK ran for the Senate from New York and won prior to running for the Presidency.

If these two All Star Kennedy's weren't enough, Their Brother, Edward Kennedy (Ted) also ran for the Senate and won his Brother John's seat and over many years established a reputation as a Senator who could get along with Republicans  and get things done.  Unfortunately for Ted Kennedy his  problematic behavior regarding the drowning death of a young staffer from Bobby's Senate Office at Chappaquiddik seemed to permanently tarnish Ted's reputation.

Many other Kennedy Family Members had their own accomplishments as well as difficulties over the years but by and large the Kennedy Family has been a close knit and highly accomplished group of family members.

Now we have Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as our Secretary of Health and Human Services in the Trump Administration and since his appointment by Donald Trump to this position we have seen some startling changes happening at HHS.  

The importance of numerous vaccines in schools all across the United States and elsewhere has been a long established precedent for many years.  Unfortunately for many believers in Vaccines, RFK Jr. does not seem to subscribe to the worth of Vaccines. In a recent Senate hearing many of the Democratic and Republican Senators took the HHS Secretary to task on a whole range of subjects including Vaccines.

Many Republicans pointed out that the Covid 19 vaccine was one of the greatest accomplishments of the first Trump Administration.  

It is true that the Covid Vaccine was developed and approved at "Warp Speed" during the First Trump Administration.  The truth however is that the person in the Administration who was primarily responsible for the quick development of the  Covid 19 Vaccine was Vice President Mike Pence.  

After Donald Trump began getting tired of providing updates every day on Covid, he passed on this pain in the ass chore to the Vice President who clearly seemed to take Covid far more seriously than Trump.  Trump just seemed to see Covid as an obnoxious impediment to getting Re Elected to a second term, which of course it was.

Mike Pence, however took his appointment to be the Covid Tsar very seriously.  In addition to just being a talking head about Covid to the media, Pence worked closely with Health and Human Services, State Governors and Pharmaceutical Companies and emphasized to all of them the importance of getting a vaccine fast.

It might be remembered that the Covid Vaccine did not become widely available  until after the end of the Trump Administration and the beginning of the Biden Administration when dealing with Covid became issue Number One with the Biden Administration.

During the 2025 Election Campaign Robert Kennedy Jr. made a half hearted attempt at running for President. He was advised by the vast majority of his family members not to run and I remember that the Biden Campaign had a widely publicized White House meeting with all of the Kennedy Family members who had pledged their support for Biden.  It was a large gang of Kennedy Family members who were supporters of Biden.

When the steam ran out of the Robert Kennedy Jr. Campaign for President Kennedy approached both Kamala Harris and Donald Trump about Joining their Campaign's and Cabinet.  Kamala wasn't interested in playing games with Kennedy and turned him down flat.  Donald Trump, on the other hand quickly took Kennedy on the road with him and promised him Health and Human Services if Trump won.

It seems as though Donald Trump liked the idea of having a Kennedy in his Administration.  What seems to be very clear at this point is that Kennedy's attitude about vaccines is Reckless and Wrong and is a clear and present danger to the children of America and probably to the adults of America also.

None of us want to have this long time former heroin addict making choices that affect the health of Americans.

Playing Russian Roulette with the health of our children, grandchildren and Americans of all ages is way too dangerous a game.

The bottom line here is that Robert F. Kennedy must go and he must go fast enough to prevent this wacko from killing any more Americans with his insane, dangerous and just plain Weird Ideas about Vaccines.
